Is it better to use a accountant or solicitor for probate?
I have to deal with my late aunties estate or not sure who i should be approaching

Unless the accountant is a named Exec., most would use a solicitor. If using a solicitor, get a fixed quote first or they'll charge a percentage of the estate as well as a fee.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

Not all of us do that! :D

Fixed fees are available, but if not then a simple time based fee, no value fee taken as that has never seemed apprpriate to me.

Without doubt a solicitor knowledgeable also in tax and trust matters.

At the very least I would first ask Lee Young if he's interested.
