Hello,

I'm a higher rate tax payer and have some US-based stock options. Do I need to pay NIC on these when I exercise them? If so, at what rate?

Thanks in advance.

This will depend on the type of scheme in which these were granted- if they were granted by your employer then they should be able to tell you (via their advisers) what your liabilities are.
