When calculating in NZ the income earnt overseas (in UK) can you claim the NI paid in UK as if it was tax - or is this treated separately?

eg If I earnt 20,000 in the UK of which say 3,000 was tax and 2,000 was NI ... in NZ they would say i earnt 60,000 NZD and paid tax of 9,000 NZD - but can I claim for the NI paid too?

Thanks in advance
