Possible tax rebate

Postby Micgeo1 » Thu Feb 08, 2018 9:30 pm

I have been paying tax as PAYE taxyear17/18. I was made redundant on the beginning of last month. If I don’t get any income for the end of this tax year would I be entitled to a tax rebate

Assuming that the PAYE tax deducted to date is correct, and that you don't have any arrears of tax for previous years, then yes, it's likely.

If you claim Jobseekers Allowance (or whatever they call it now), the DWP will pay any refund to you after the end of the current tax year.
