Working notice period, final salary payment is April

Postby junglemountains » Wed Apr 04, 2018 10:47 am

Hi all, I am working a 3 month notice period, I finish at the end of the month and my final salary payment for the current company is also at the end of the month.

Given that April (month 1) is my first and final salary payment of the year for the current company will it be taxed? I was wondering because the monthly salary amount will fall within my personal allowance amount.

Thanks

the PAYE system assumes you'll be employed for the full year, so it will be taxed.
If you won't be employed again claim a refund.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
