Wife on payroll

Postby snapperdj » Mon Mar 04, 2019 10:18 am

Hi. I want to start paying my wife for the admin work that she does for my videography business. What is the minimum amount I can pay her so that it contributes towards her state pension?
I have spent many hours on the internet but I can’t seem to find the information anywhere so any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

The amount is £116/week for tax year 18/19.
Employees don’t pay National Insurance but get the benefits of paying.

With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
