Wrong info on new starter check list

Postby Johnthejon123 » Mon May 17, 2021 4:33 pm

I'm not proud of it but due to the pandemic I struggled to get a job after being made redundant. So I joined a friend's company, I didn't get paid due to various reasons.

So I had to lie on my CV re: my job title when it came to applying for new jobs. It's a job I'd done for many many years previous so I haven't lied about my skillset, just the extra few months of experience.

I obviously have no p45 to give.

And I have to fill in the p46 / new starter checklist when I start next week.

If I pick A which is the correct option i risk getting fired which obviously is my own fault.

If I pick a B which states that this is my only job but I've had another job since April 6th, this is a lie. Would this affect my tax payments?
