refer to the income tax part or the NI part of the reply?

On reflection there are no African countries where we hold a reciprocal agreement for social security contributions, so I wouldn't worry about that point.

Thanks for the replies, there is some clarity, now to actually motivate my employer to look at the NI situation may be more daunting.
