Rent deduction

Postby oocl32 » Mon Nov 01, 2021 4:14 pm

Hi,

I am starting a new job and my employment contract states that my place of work is to be my home, they do not have an office located in London. I am aware that PAYE employees can deduct certain expenses when working from home. , if I decide to move from my current apartment into a 2 bedroom, so that 1 bedroom can be my full time office, can I deduct this additional rent? The room would be solely for my office and I am only incurring this cost as I am required to work from home.

Thanks
