Employment Allowance

Postby GARDNER4 » Sat Dec 21, 2024 11:34 am

If an employer claims employment allowance as they are qualified to do so, however during the tax year they do not qualify as there is only One employee earning. Can the business carry on claiming the Employment Allowance for the rest of the year or not, also do they need to pay back the Employment allowance of the previous months if they do not qualify.

They can only claim the allowance for months they qualify.

They do not need to repay allowance for months where they qualified, but will need to repay any allowance claimed whilst they did not qualify.
