Company Libilities / Mortgage

Postby mp2016 » Thu Nov 01, 2018 9:54 am

Hi

We have paid a deposit to a company and now are having trouble with them supplying the goods.

The Director has said the company is in liquidation but we see no signs of it on companies house

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08511842

We do see it has a mortgage, is it possible for us to find out any more about this mortgage? ie on what asset/property?

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08511842/charges/VUdtRJp-nxHqCBRdwMI4YGzjisc

We think the director might just be saying its in liquidation so that we go away.

Thanks in advance

If it is not in liquidation you can start proceedings to enforce the debt. You need legal advice.

You can file a claim with Money Claim Online for a small fee - the fee depends on the sum claimed.

There is a copy of the charge on companies house. It's a fixed and floating charge so, essentially, the finance company gets first dibs on everything.
