Groupon VAT Question

Postby IntoleranceLab » Thu Dec 06, 2018 7:31 pm

Hi

I deal a lot with groupon .

So they make the sales then split the money 50/50

50 is there "fee"

They then charge me VAT on their fee.

My question is
a)Can I claim back this VAT ?
b)Do I need to pay VAT on my portion ?

Thanks in advance
David

You will need to discuss with groupon who is selling what they should tell you what the T&c's say - it will entirely depend upon how the agreement is structured as to whether you have a sale for full value and pay them commission or whether it is the other way round or whether it is something completely different.

Hi

They issue me with a vat invoice showing the VAT added to their fee each month.

I will try and get the t&c's but I dont make any sales , they sell the items then give me my fee.

Hope this helps
