Capital allowances on expenses car

Postby Yiannis17 » Thu Jan 17, 2019 1:39 pm

Afternoon

I have a client who drives an expenses car for his business as a executive chauffeuring service. He has purchased an 79k car in the 2017/18 tax year.

I have put the car in a special rate pool, as his CO2 emissions on the diesel car are 138.

He is adamant and has something in writing he informs me from HMRC that this should go in the main pool and capital allowances claimed at 18%.

Any assistance is much appreciated.
