Higher SDLT refund query

Postby RedV » Sun Jun 30, 2019 1:00 am

Hi All,

I have 3 properties A, B and C. I bought property C last year and now planning to sell my previous residence property B.
Can I claim back the higher SDLT rate?

Many Thanks,
Vin

Yes if C is (and was bought to replace) your main residence (on the facts, CGT election doesn't count) and B is or was your main residence in the last 3 years (again on the facts)

No if not.
