Budget Dilemma

I posed a query on 31 Jan entitled 'Stamp Duty Deadline' however with the Budget on 21st March occurring just a few days after the 'target' completion date (not agreed yet)for our chain, could anybody give a view on the best way to proceed (eg delay completion)? I am puchasing an empty property at 270k at the upper end of a short chain and clearly want to limit SD paid. Does anyone have any educated views on what the chancellor might announce in this respect ? All views appreciated.
