Should my company car be provided for my wife instead

I have the choice of being provided with a company car or receive a salary increase instead.
My wife is employed part-time (different employer from me) but earns less than £8,500 per year.
Could a company car be provided by my employer for my wife instead of me, thereby potentially saving both my employer and I from paying national insurance and tax?
Comments would be much appreciated.

No. The legislation treats this as your car and you would be taxed on it.
