What’s new?
- The new claim form IHT216 to claim a transfer of unused Inheritance tax nil rate band has been amended and is now available to download;
- SDLT Practitioners' Newsletter, issue 19;
- Revised leaflet COP26 - What happens if we have paid you too much tax credit?;
- Updated list of workshops and presentations for employers requiring help and advice with online filing;
- Information regarding changes to share scheme returns for 2007/08 and later years;
- A report entitled Security in a Global Hub – Establishing the UK’s new border arrangements, which sets out how the Government will establish a new border organisation;
- Double taxation conventions - A first-time comprehensive double taxation convention between the UK and the Republic of Slovenia has been signed. A new UK/Moldova Double Taxation Convention and Protocol has also been signed but has not yet entered into force;
- Information regarding the National Insurance Contributions Bill, which has now been introduced in the House of Commons;
- Update to Online Services questions and answers;
- Notice that letters have been sent to all employers who submitted their 2006-07 Employer Annual Return on time, but who received an incorrect penalty notice, explaining that the incorrect penalty has been cancelled;
- National Non-Resident Recovery Unit Financial Review form 77 has been updated and is now available to be filled in on screen;
- Revised VAT Notice 700/1: Should I be registered for VAT?, which cancels and replaces the May 2002 version; and
- VAT Notice 367, Update 2, October 2007: Importing commercial samples of negligible value free of duty and VAT.
