What’s new?
- The "How to pay Inheritance Tax" web pages have been amended to reflect the new procedures for obtaining an IHT reference number and payslip before making a payment;
- List of registered Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCS) updated to 31 October 2007;
- Announcement that Government Departments and Local Authorities will soon be able to complete Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) transactions online;
- National Insurance for those abroad: Forms CA3837, CA8454 & CA8421 have been updated;
- Pension Schemes Services (PSS) has published an update to the QROPS list;
- Offshore Funds - HMRC’s guidance on the definition of offshore fund has been updated to further clarify the response to FAQ8 contained in the document;
- Inheritance tax: HMRC have published the nil rate band tables from 16 August 1914 to the present date following the announcement in the Pre-Budget Report about the transfer of unused nil rate bands between spouses and civil partners;
- The Tax Avoidance Schemes (Information) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2007 and Explanatory Memorandum;
- The Tax Avoidance Schemes (Penalty) Regulations 2007 SI 2007/3104 and Explanatory Memorandum;
- The Value Added Tax (Amendment) (No. 7) Regulations 2007 (SI 2007/3099) and Explanatory Memorandum; and
- The Fuel-testing Pilot Projects (Biobutanol Project) Regulations 2007 (SI 2007/3098); and Explanatory Memorandum.
